Statistician - Marketing Focus in Toronto
We are currently recruiting for a Statistician for a leading
multinational company who will develop advanced predictive models
leveraging statistics and mathematics on behalf of clients to drive
insights using statistical techniques in support of business objectives
such as marketing strategy development and execution,
merchandising/category management plans and ad hoc strategic and
tactical client issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing ADVANCED Predictive Models LEVERAGING STATISTICS AND MATHEMATICS
- Providing Analytic Consulting to Sales Teams AND INTERNAL EXPERT IN ADVANCED CAPABILITIES
- Presenting Model findings to internal and external clients
- Improving existing methodologies and processes
- Coaching/Advising internal analytics resources
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3-5 years developing predictive models in a MERCHANDISING, RETAIL OR Marketing context
- STRONG communication skills PREFERRED
- Proficiency using SAS software OR OTHER ADVANCED MATHEMATICAL SOFTWARE FOR MODEL DEVELOPMENT
- Business Acumen – RETAIL, SUPPLY CHAIN, OPTIMIZATION OR Direct Marketing experience & understanding
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's in Statistics, MATHEMATICS, Commerce or Computer Science
- Masters In Statistics OR MATHEMATICS preferred

Our client , a global
direct and interactive marketing agency, is looking for a Associate
Director, Marketing Analytics in their downtown Los Angeles office. The
Associate Director plays a vital role by working with clients and
internal staff to build both Analytics projects and integrated
large-scale consulting projects. The Associate Director will actively
participate in the project sales process with the account team, mentor
those within the group, contribute to the development and growth of
Marketing Analytics and interface with senior level contacts both
internally and externally. This person will be responsible for design
and execution of the projects as well as articulation of results from
complex statistical models and analyses to internal and external
clients.
Required Skills:
PREFER SOMEONE WHO HAS WORKED IN AN AGENCY/CONSULTING SETTING...
• Educational training in business and quantitative analysis, including both offline and online/interactive businesses
• Masters degree in related field
• 4-8 years experience in marketing analytics, and consulting with strong project management
• In depth knowledge of SAS, web analytics a plus, .
• Superior written, verbal and presentation skills
• Prior experience managing people
• Experience in behavioral and attitudinal analytic techniques
• Experience working with segmentation and predictive models
