Position Overview:
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will join a dynamic and talented Quality Assurance team to support Covario’s core Interactive Marketing Analytics applications. This position will be an integral part of the engineering team and requires someone who can focus on both manual and automated testing of client/server with strong emphasis on browser-based applications and proven ability setting up test harness, automation framework, developing and managing automated test scripts using QTP (HP QuickTest Professional). Responsible for preparing and executing risk based test strategies within an agile environment and contributing to the continuous improvement of the QA process.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (requirements derivation through delivery).
• Develop test plan and test strategy, manual and automated test cases meeting functional requirements, user stories and user acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands on manual and automated testing (both “black” and “grey” box).
• Lead the test automation effort. Create automated test suite using HP QTP, generate test scripts, tools and test harness to support QA automation.
• Execute application, usability, functional, regression and performance testing for business applications in a client/server environment.
• Evaluate testing results and enter problem reports in a problem tracking system.
• Communicate product readiness, level of quality, and results to Quality Assurance Director and the project team.
• Identify QA and testing issues, and generate solutions for process improvement.
• Participate in release planing and product roll out.
• Provide input and guidance to less experienced QA engineers.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong experience in software Quality Assurance test plan and test case generation. Excellent testing skills and experience with commercial software development processes, SaaS or ASP (Application Service Provider) for browser-based applications, client/server application and database driven applications on Linux and Windows environments.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software quality assurance industry with strong QA process knowledge and proven test automation skill.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing tools such as QuickTest Professional, Rational Robot, XDE Tester, LoadRunner or any other automated testing tool.
• Technical skills using SQL and RDBMS (MYSQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle) technology.
• Understanding of technical systems, including web technologies (server and browser), relational databases and application servers.
• Good communication skill and a desire to function in a team based environment.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• BS degree in Computer Science or related fields or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience:
• Experience in developing and implementing tools, and scripting in Java, Perl, Python, Ruby, SQL, shell or any other programming language.
• Implemented and managed test automation using QTP or alternatively open source test frameworks such as watir, fit, fitnesse, or selenium.
• Experience using Servlet/JSP, Adobe Flex, MySQL, Tomcat, Apache or Linux
• Exposure to SCRUM Agile development methodologies.
• Formal test methodologies such as risk analysis, test coverage assessment, and QA metrics.

Quality Engineer for an Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) provider based in Los Angeles

Currently we are seeking candidates for our “Quality Engineering” position.

Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Operational Excellence, the Quality Engineer has multiple responsibilities to ensure that the manufacturing process produces product that meets or exceeds customer expectations. To assist with the implementation of a comprehensive quality management system, and to support quality objectives of the company the ideal candidate is a fast learner who can handle multiple projects and work well as part of a team. As a Lean Leader, the successful candidate will have experience participating in or leading Kaizen/Continuous Improvement events that resulted in measurable improvement in Quality performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Confer with Director of Operational Excellence on production and personnel issues. Also assist with preparation of various quality reports.
• Participate on/with continuous improvement teams.
• Randomly examine production documents (router/Traveler) to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to Qual-Pro’s practices.
• Provide Supplier Quality Engineering support to the Procurement function by auditing Supplier facilities and monitoring supplier performance data
• Follow-up on supplier corrective actions submitted.
• Monitor and analyze product non-compliance on assemblies to reduce defects.
• Monitor ESD compliance through production.
• Analyze customer returns to determine cause and prevention.
• Perform follow-up on corrective actions to determine effective implementation.
• Perform periodic audits of production processes against procedures.
• Monitor and support receiving inspection activities.

Qualifications
• Experience working in ISO 9001 or AS9100-certified electronics manufacturing environment required.
• Auditing experience against the ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
• Knowledge of DFAR regulations.
• ISO13485 experience is a plus.
• 2-5 years related experience and training in Six Sigma or equivalent statistical analysis techniques, lean principles and team/project management. Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus
• Must have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Process Analysis: process measurements, process flow diagrams, I.O. diagrams, cause & effect diagrams, and Pareto Diagrams and Histograms.
• Experience interpreting blueprints, Bill-Of-Materials, data sheets and test reports.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with all levels of
management.
• Experience using Six Sigma/Lean/Quality tools to improve processes.
• Experience working in an EMS environment preferred.
• In order to comply with federal contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS in an engineering discipline required.
  • Minimum 5 years work experience.
  • Proficient in English
  • Proficient in the applications of Microsoft Office software
  • ERP/MRP experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

A plus to have ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 audit certification Green Belt or Black Belt certification a plus.

Overview

• Provide strategic input into media & communications plans based on knowledge of past campaign performance
• Development of strategic M&A plans: explicitly defining what we want to learn, what we will measure to learn it, how we will measure it, frequency of measurement
• Strategic test design using single variable, complete or fractional factorial matrix
• Develop ROI pro forma business case projections to set expectations for campaign performance
• Collaborate with Data Strategist in design and implementation of campaign reporting

Successful candidates will play a strategic leadership role in informing future campaign strategies and evaluation and optimization of marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of quantitative analytical techniques and their application to marketing programs.

Qualifications

1.2-5 years experience working with data and utilizing quantitative techniques to solve marketing or business problems, such as campaign analysis, program optimization, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling.
2.MS Excel expertise – logical functions, lookups, pivot tables, external source data, dynamic charts and tables, editing and writing macros, VBA.
3.Organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and the ability to work both independently and with teams.
4.Interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with external clients and internal cross-departmental partners.
5.Skilled knowledge of key digital analytics tools, particularly Omniture, Google Analytics and DoubleClick, preferably WebTrends, Atlas, Mediaplex, CoreMetrics and Hitwise
6.Prefer degree in quantitative field, such as Applied Math or Statistics, Behavior or Social Sciences, Operations Research, and Engineering.
7.Preferred statistical skills: significance, error, sample size, ANOVA, design of experiment, SAS, SPSS
