Looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to work with a fast growing company that enables cable and broadband operators to efficiently deploy, manage, and expand their advanced data services. Our product gives operators a complete view into their networks, with the control to manage their systems proactively.

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be involved in the SDLC of the software product with the Product Program Management and Development Engineering teams. Your goal will be to ensure that each release is analyzed accurately and tested properly in a timely manner. Your responsibilities are test design, test implementation, and test execution using industry standard techniques; as well as creating and maintaining the automation and performance infrastructure.

What you will do:
• Define test requirement and develop test cases and scenarios for product and maintenance releases using modern testing techniques.
• Develop and enhance automated scripts to help replicate, troubleshoot, and regression test emergency patches.
• Develop in depth knowledge of the functional areas of all our products.
• Maintain clear and effective communications with Professional Services, Product Program Management, Account Management, Development Engineering and QA teams.
• Mentor junior staff members.
• Keep track of the new requirements.
• Execute functional and regression testing.
• Track problem reports using a bug-tracking system.
• Produce test evaluation reports.
• Participate in software design reviews
• Participate in software walkthrough.
• Installation, configuration and maintenance of testing environment.
• Participation in Product Release testing and Post-Product release activities (Post Mortem, updating test cases).
• Run and Maintain Test Automation Scripts for regression testing.
• Perform CRUD (Create, Read, Update, and Delete) database testing using SQL.
• Conduct internal trainings.
• Design and develop performance (concurrency, load, stress) testing suites.
• Design and Develop API test cases.
• Design and write automated regression test packages using scripts, high level languages, and a commercial test tool.

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with databases, Knowledge of SQL and Experience writing SQL queries.
• Programming/scripting skills in JavaScript or Java.
• Demonstrated experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium and JMeter.
• Experience in automation methodologies.
• Experience with modern testing methods and techniques, SDLC.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical/problem solving skills.
• Ability to assess the priority and severity of issues.
• Familiarity with operating systems: Linux, Windows.
• Ability to accurately estimate tasks and meet schedules.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in CS or related discipline or equivalent experience of 8+ years.

Some of the requirements are:
  • Bachelor Degree in a technical or business discipline.
  • Five years of related professional level work experience; two year in a management capacity.
  • MUST BE CURRENTLY CERTIFIED IN ULTRASONIC TESTING AND MAG-PARTICLE TESTING TO ASNT STANDARDS.
  • Metal fabrication and welding experience a must.

Position Overview:
  • Direct the Quality support staff and operations in accordance with company and cGMP protocols.
  • Work with, and share responsibility with Senior QA Director to establish goals and programs for Quality support.
  • Lead & guide staff as they perform Quality system functions, and host inspections.
  • Insure productive environment and team success by managing / measuring staff performance.

Overview of Operational Duties:
  • Hire, train,develop and direct staff.
  • Direct staff to set goals, and measure their performance to those goals.
  • Maintain optimal resource deployment.
  • Provide input to all discussions pertaining to long range plans and goals.

Overview of Technical Duties:
  • Maintain inspection readiness by developing systems, procedures & protocols
  • Collaborate with all other commercial Quality areas to maintain inspection readiness
  • Advise internal teams regarding regulatory requirements, company standards and company plans.
  • Act as point of contact with other sites for inspection readiness, and other issues.
  • Participate in external Quality organizations and conferences

Absolute Requirements:
  • Ten or more years in biotech / biopharma Industry
  • BS / BA Degree (Life Science preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP’s, and / or other pertinent equivalent regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to direct Quality organization functions
  • Knowledge and execution of Quality processes, and Quality Operations
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, and implement Quality standards, and also show your quality programs withstand scrutiny, review, and audit.
